AMIGA Montessori Burwood
AMIGA Montessori sets itself apart from other child care providers by providing an organized learning environment to inspire and develop children’s minds. The well-known and highly praised Montessori method and philosophy is taught through a planned curriculum that incorporates practical life skills and experiences that stimulate the senses, math as well as language (including writing and reading) as well as sciences, cultures and languages.
The scientifically supported Montessori method was created by Dr. Maria Montessori, a graduate of the University of Rome, in 1890. Dr. Montessori was the first woman in history to attend the medical college in Italy. The theme was Education and Peace, Dr Montessori was eventually awarded an award for her Nobel Peace Prize in 1949.
Our highly trained team of teachers and center staff have been trained to provide the best quality Montessori education to your child in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.
When you visit one our centres, you’ll be able to see how different we are in our teaching approach. We encourage families as well as children to visit our centres to see for themselves. We also welcome visits to the centre. If Dr Montessori’s science-based research isn’t convincing visit and experience it yourself.
About Our Programs
In AMIGA Montessori our programs focus on creating a home where every child can feel safe knowing that the physical as well as emotional requirements will be addressed. Our programs recognize that the first few stages of a child’s development are crucial and we constantly endeavor to encourage every child to tackle the most challenging and thrilling challenges by themselves.
We employ a balanced approach in the classroom to stimulate young minds through a mix of movements and music, art and craft, sports, Yoga and the opportunity to take part in group lessons and the fundamentals of early education as well as self-help abilities they’ll need when they go to the next level of education.
