Are you thinking about cleaning your seats? Perhaps you’re curious about the method or process used to clean your seats.
We have done many car interior cleanings as mobile detailers and receive questions from customers on a regular basis.
One of the most common questions we get is, “How long does it take for the seats to dry?”
It is dependent on the method and process used to clean the seats. The weather is another important factor in drying the seats. It will take between 2 and 3 hours if it is a warm day. It may take 3 to 6 hours to dry if the day is cold.
We have a method that we use that has proven to be very effective in both the cleaning and drying process.
First, we use a quality shampoo that is safe for car upholstery. We apply the shampoo to the seats with a brush. Then, we agitate the seats with the brush to loosen any dirt or grime that may be on the seats.
After that, we use a high powered extractor to remove the shampoo and dirt from the seats. The extractor also helps to speed up the drying process.
Once the seats are dry, we vacuum them to remove any residual dirt or debris.
Finally, we apply a protectant to help repel stains and dirt in the future.
Do you want faster drying times?
Methods for hastening the drying process
You can soak up as much water as possible by pressing a towel against the fabric. It’s possible that you’ll need to do multiple towels.
Take advantage of the weather. On a hot day, you can open all of the doors and windows and circulate as much air as possible.
Making use of a fan. You can use a blow dryer to dry them by hand, but be careful not to get too close to the fabric. Using a fan will also help it dry faster.
If you have any questions about our process or would like to schedule a mobile detailing appointment, please feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to help you get your seats looking new again!
